Auto Sales Top Massachusetts Attorney General's
List of Consumer Complaints in 2003

For the first time, auto sales topped the year-end list of complaint types filed with AG Reilly's Consumer Complaint Hotline. Of the more than 12,000 complaints filed in 2003, 1,346 consumers registered complaints about auto sales.

Among those complaints, consumers registered concerns about warranty issues, defective products, the Lemon Aid Law, and the Used Car Lemon Law. Complaints about retail sales, telemarketing, home improvement and credit followed behind auto sales on the year-end list for 2003.
